Retail Asset Protection
The People, Teams, & Technologies That Are Changing the Game
A Gathering Place & Resource Center
After nearly a dozen years as a field artillery officer in the U.S. Army, Brand Elverston began his retail career with Walmart’s then Loss Prevention division in 1995, retiring in 2017 to impact the overall industry more effectively, and more broadly.
Now with over 25 years of experience in the retail asset protection/risk mitigation business channel, Brand’s undeniable passions are in the emerging technology scope, not legacy solutions, designed to align innovative risk mitigation measures more effectively with emerging retail business pursuits.
As he began looking for ways to give back, Brand partnered with Conversations on Retail to create the Retail Asset Protection & Rick Mitigation group, and to launch RetailAssetProtection.com, serving as a gathering place and resource center that supports the industry in tackling some of its most persistent problems.
Brand specializes in working with innovative technology providers and processes designed to remove friction in the customer experience, while limiting risk to lost profit.
Brand welcomes his colleagues from industry and academia to join him in contributing insights and commentary aimed at helping the community progress.
